Before you can legally get married in Yosemite National Park—or anywhere else in California—you’ll need to obtain a California marriage license. Fortunately, the process is simple, and once you know what to expect, it can usually be completed in a single visit to a County Clerk’s office.
Where Do We Get a Marriage License?
California marriage licenses are issued by County Clerk offices throughout the state. One of the great advantages of getting married in California is that you may obtain your marriage license from any California County Clerk’s office, regardless of where your ceremony will take place. For example, if you’re getting married in Yosemite National Park, you might obtain your license in Mariposa County, Madera County, Tuolumne County, or any other county within California. The choice is entirely yours.
